The terms, kept short.

CXO Cadre (“the Cadre”) is operated by Virtually Testing Foundation, a non-profit registered in the United States, from Orange County, California. “The desk” means the people who run the club.

Anyone may apply. Every application is read by a person. The Cadre reserves the right to refuse or revoke membership at any time, at its sole discretion, without stating a cause — the room stays right because the desk keeps it right. There is no fee, and refusal costs you nothing but the application.

You join under your real, full name. Giving a false name, a false title, or an organisation you do not work for ends the membership.

Everything at a Cadre table is under the Chatham House Rule: take what you learn, leave behind who said it. No attribution, no forwarding, no recording — in the room, on this site, and afterwards. Members sit as peers, never as prospects: no selling, no pitching, no working the table, and that binds sponsors exactly as it binds everyone else. The full text is the Covenant, which every member signs once.

A seat is held for you when the desk says it is — not when you ask for one, and not when an automated reply acknowledges your asking. A guest is seated only if the desk agrees. Dinners can move or be cancelled; we will tell you when they do.

Credit follows attendance, never the guest list: certificates are issued to people who walked in. Each is numbered and publicly verifiable at cxocadre.com/verify/<number>. We issue them in good faith as a record of what you attended; whether your certifying body accepts them is between you and that body.

If you give us a mobile number, you agree to receive dinner reminders and membership updates by text — a handful a year, never marketing. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop and HELP for help, or remove your number from your profile, which ends it just as completely. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Texts to our number are answered automatically, and the answer is written by a language model reading this site and your own record. It cannot confirm, book, move or cancel anything, and nothing it says is a commitment by the Cadre. Anything needing a decision is passed to a person, and you will hear from one. Do not send anything confidential, and do not rely on it in an emergency.

Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under it. Tell the desk if you think someone else has it. Do not scrape the directory, do not copy it, and do not use anything you find here to sell to another member.

The name CXO Cadre, the mark, this site and its writing belong to Virtually Testing Foundation. What you write — an application, a board post, a message to the desk — stays yours, and you give us permission to use it to run the club.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you have paid us, which is nothing.

How we handle your data is set out in the privacy page, which forms part of these terms. If we change these terms materially, we will say so on this page and, where it matters, in a letter. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
